A suite of machines that was supplied to a UK components manufacturer to undertake the progressive assembly, then test, of two variants of automotive thermoplastic thermostat assembly units.All assembly operations were automated to negate human error and each component part individually detected / monitored to ensure that all items have been loaded correctly.The facility included laser measurement sensors to check the functional operation of every assembled component and leak detection instruments were utilised to undertake the fully automated leak testing operations. Each successfully assembled / tested component part was automatically date marked by means of an integrated laser marking unit.
